Immediately I had all kinds of problems with everything from existing software (even though the Vista upgrade advisor didn't complain, even after 30 minutes of searching I tried upgrading to the 1.7 Beta that is supposed to be fully compatible with Vista, but it still didn't map it. Does Vista upgrade from XP? Apparently it upgrades better than it installs from a clean machine. Some apps and devices which won't run after a clean install seem to work OK when an upgrade is performed. Vista runs an upgrade advisor and tells you what you need to uninstall/update to remain compatible.

present Vista Beta 2 is delivered as two separate image files. One is x86 and one is x64. Each barely fits on its own dvd once burned to disk.
